Me too! I have always wanted it but couldn't justify the price. At that price, it was a no brainer.

I still have an relatively unplayed copy of Rebellion, but couldnt pass up IA at that price. Such a great deal. Once I get some time off work I got A LOT of gaming to do.

I am thinking about that one, too.

Just checked C^3 - the lowest on Amazon was / is $25.

I'm not sure but I think CSI sold it for this price once before. The one being sold on Amazon is also being sold by CSI.

I think CSI bowed out of this year's BF frenzy. These are not really any better than their weekly sales. I remember a few years ago dropping several hundred dollars over multiple orders because they had some great sales.

Why changed, CSI?

I have been waiting and hoping for Aquasphere at 14.99, but I think I am finally going to bite and buy at 17.99. I was hoping MM's recent sale would have it cheap but they still had it in the 20's, and I prefer their hold system and buy more from them.

Everyone says it's a steal, but I was really hoping to still get it dirt cheap.

Don't hold out for $3. Just buy it. If you like "thinky" euros with tough decisions, stop shopping and start playing. It's an awesome game at any price and truly a steal at $17.99!

Presumably because it is in their best financial interest.

Sure, they could do deeper discounts on more popular titles, but will they make a lot of money that way? Popular titles are likely to be bought even if they don't go on sale, so discounting them heavily doesn't necessarily increase sales enough to offset what they lose through the discount. The deeper discounts on games that haven't been as popular, like Ships and Aquasphere (which I really enjoy btw), may not be as generally appealing, but there are people who will bite at those prices and those titles apparently don't sell very well otherwise.

Sales aren't charity to the gaming community... they're a tool that stores use to encourage people to buy stuff. I too wish that there were better discounts on games I'm really interested in, but I don't begrudge CSI for not discounting them. The fact that I'm really interested in those games even at their current prices suggests that they are playing the correct strategy.

Acquasphere was $14.99 about a month ago on a daily CSI deal, but really, why quibble over $3.

I just picked up Mansions of Madness on the Barnes and Noble Cyber Monday sale, so it seemed obvious to pick up the tile and monster expansion to add one scenario and give the four in the box more variability.

It dropped to $10 at CSI on the last day of Gen Con!

It could be that they feel no need to compete with the others during BF/CM. They have been running weekly sales that are arguably better than these "Back to the Future" deals, but that have also offered more latitude for customers on a week-by-week basis. For those of us looking for a big splurge, it is a letdown. Those who buy more regularly over the course of the year probably get a lot out of being able to mix daily and weekly sales with their normal prices. I wish they would have a more traditional BF/CW sale, but I am sure that there are people out there who can maximize the sales CSI is having.

[ETA] Something that does suck about this sale is that with so few title, few sales dip down into those titles for whom there is a smaller audience. There really aren't any wargames being discounted, for instance.

I hesitate on that only because of the CSI hold system letting you have 1 daily deal. I'd rather save it and hope something awesome is a daily deal. Usually not, but they had Cyclades one time and I was travelling that day and super bummed I missed out.

I live just north of Orlando, so everything I buy from CSI I pick up locally, so no shipping costs.

It's cute that they spread their "large" sale out, so as to entice people to make multiple $100+ orders for free shipping.

But fortunately, there was little worth buying in any of the sales (for me).
