I'm writing in the new main game section as there is no entry for the new (2016) playmat.

As per the image below, I wonder what was the rationale for pacing the "horse path" and a "stagecoach path" on different sides of the train.

I guess the purpose was to easier to move horses without bumping the stagecoach but it still makes no sense as it's possible for a player to reach the stagecoach via a horse.

Any ideas?

I have this and have played with it a couple of times. The stagecoach and horses fit fine on the wider side. I'm not sure about the narrower path/road on the other side. Some of the other elements on the playmat are for the upcoming expansion(s) I think, so I'm guessing maybe it is related to that?

Oh, great to hear - I had this thought that perhaps the smaller path is somehow related to cavalry but had could not figure out how it would work.

However, if you're saying that the road is good enough for both horses and stagecoach, there might be something to it.

Thanks!

I really like the color and style of the new playmat.

We should have someone add an game accessory entry for it!

I tried an entry as a new accessory, but I got the reply that if it is no different in gameplay from the original paper version, that it should be just an other version of that.

so now You can find it here =>

You may always say it is different regarding gameplay as it accommodates expansions as well:-)

Yes, I guess it works as another version of the player mat. It would be nice to have the image there, but I don't know who has the image rights.

I'd like to know, too. How/when will it be available?

Thanks for the link, but wow...36 Euros for a playmat? I think I'll pass.

I downloaded a PDF file that contained six pages, which when printed on card (colour laser printer at home helps ...ink-jet works just as well) ...and then cut (removing the white edges) ... stuck together carefully with sellotape (other tapes are available) ... makes a rather nice and easily foldable playing mat (albeit cardboard) and it costs next to nothing, except for one's time.

Use the middle one
