Hi. Is there a limit to the number of fruits in the market? Some locations say to add fruits there but do you still do it if there is already 5 there?
Thanks

There's a theory: if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There's another theory: this has already happened.

I'd say just follow the instructions on the cards. There is no reason for the market to prevent it from growing. There are also cards that let it shrink, so why not grow. Played fine with my group and it won't be larger than five cards for long.

Automatically, the market starts with 5 fruits and each time when it is completely empty after an action, it refills back to 5 fruits.

During the game, it can have any number of fruits, so when using actions you can place more than 5 fruits in the market.

At the start of a new round do you reset the market back to 5?

Yes.

At the start of each round (aka game), all players start with 2 fruits in their hands and all other game parts requested by the available locations are reset to the starting configurations:
- market starts with 5 fruits
- thief is placed next to the locations
- 5 fruit tokens are placed in the pool
- 3 double turn tokens are placed in the pool
- 3 wild tokens are placed in the pool
- 10 fruit mix cards are placed in the pool
...

Just to clarify my confusion. The first game does not start with the market, but from card no. 8 onward it becomes an integral part of the game that automatically becomes set up? Rules aren't very clear on this.

From location card no. 8 on you need to check at the start of each game (and when certain new location cards enter the game), if these locations need some of the special components.

If yes, you add them to the pool or place fruits into the market.

So with location card no. 8 the market is needed, but it may go away again if no location is referring to the market.

Ok?

Fair enough. It was a moment of confusion the first time playing through.

Thanks.
