So I did a quick read of the copy I bought and one weird thing stood out about the rules - measure-and-move used eight facings while hex uses six. The rules don't seem to do much of anything to adjust for this. So ships on a hex map will tend to be more maneuverable, or a little less sturdy. The thin line aiming (streaming?) weapons will also have equidistant facings MAM, but the aiming directions are crowded towards broadsides on a hex map. Anyone with experience, is the game just simple enough that this doesn't really matter? Or am I missing a detail from the rules?
