Am I doing something wrong or can the Germans reach the Channel with their cavalry and make it hard for the French to reinforce their left wing? I'm using first turn surprise/pontoon bridges and movement boosting to go 6 MPs.

Hello Jon,

I'm sure about the Green, but not about the Red (it should have 7 MP).

It is a very aggresive move, which may catch the Allied player by surprise, but it also risky for German Cavalry.

You are right. But the blue one can get where the red one is, so it comes to the same thing. I realize it is risky for the Germán cavalry, but if it slows down the French moving to their left flank it seems a good risk.

I am loving this game playing solitaire.

Indeed. You are reading in my mind. I was to say that about the Blue, but did not want to say too much.

This is an interesting opening move, which is - as you have said - both worthy and risky.
