I've got everything setup correctly. I got the sniper into the alarm room with nothing going off. The medic just strolled in and the alarm is now going off (he cannot shoot, the German cannot shoot). Now the sapper will move into the open area, the alarm is already going off, right, so nothing happens. He can then move into the target room as well, right?

So on the German turn, he does nothing -- he doesn't do any movement in tutorial #1, right? And then I just turn off the alarm for turn #2 and done?

Seems like I am missing something here.

You're not. The tutorial is specifically setup to show you 3 different ways to manage visibility (alarm always goes off whenever one of your dudes becomes visible)

Just don't forget

1) You can only walk through doors
2) A visible commando cannot become hidden by moving onto a small tile with an enemy on it
3) A hidden commando has to do spot-checks for each enemy on a small/medium(with stealthy move) tile they move onto)

Yep its just to teach the power of stealth , try it without becoming visible.

There is no time limit so you can lay turns with few actions sabe an action and wait for good move opportnities (Event direction preventing movement (N))

Not possible for all not to be visible. One has to go into large area and is instantly visible.
