Original game is played in 6 rounds and in every round is number of columns the same as number of players. We tried play with 3 columns for 2 players, and I think that game is better.

When there are only two columns, game is often boring (every player play only on 'own' column). With three column, game is more interesting. And faster too, becasue there is only 4 round.

You're right. I tried this and it was a better game than the official rules (2 columns).

Thanks for sharing with us

Oddly enough, after our first two 2-player games, I had the very same thought that maybe we could do three columns of four goal cards, instead of two columns of six.

I'm glad to know someone else tried and found it satisfactory.

Agreed 3 stacks with 2 players makes it better.

Glad to find this suggestion as I was thinking the same thing from a read through of the rules.

And it is important to get the first play as good as it can be when your main opponent will be your Mrs who can take against a game quite quickly
