We feel pretty dumb, the problem was that we all had our iPhones' "silent" switch turned on. But then again no other app on our phones work this way. So, when we flipped the switch the audio began to play. Very strange as my NBA app, for example, plays audio when the switch is silent (I use it to silence the ringer and incoming text chimes, etc. when I'm playing games or the like).
I hope this helps someone who is experiencing the same thing. Perhaps there is a way to program this functionality out of the app to make it behave like a "normal" app? Thanks guys!
