Amusingly I had three separate conversations during Kublacon around how to produce a smaller more table-friendly version of the board, and where to get coloured wood bits to replace all the distracting plastic -- and no, I was not the one suggesting or proposing either. These were all from people who had playtested the small-board/wood-cube prototype at last year's Kublacon and preferred that presentation.

I guess "amusing" is one way to describe those conversations.

I'd spruce up the game with:

1) A board w/o the "American valley". Perhaps with more folds to compact better into a box.

2) Personal displays to put all of your discoveries, trade goods, capital buildings, and available colonists/specialists for the coming round.

3) A storage insert in the box.

4) A smaller box. There's a lot of air. Slightly too large for the current board size even.

These are minor quibbles though conpared to a nice game.
