Germany had an Influence marker on Denmark-Norway.

Germany successfully demanded Denmark.

Does this separate Denmark from Norway or do both countries become a German dependent?

If they are separate, does the German Influence stay on Norway?

13.3.2 Regions lists Denmark as a region, and states that regions can become part of another country.

13.8.1 Ceding Lands has an example (p. 44) concerning Denmark.

I'd conclude that your assessment makes sense, and that Denmark is ceded and the influence stays in Norway.

Gents,

Rule 15.3 specifically states that if the Axis have an influence marker in a country, and place a ceded land marker related to that country (in this case Denmark becomes part of Germany), then any AXIS influence marker is removed (in this case from Norway, what is left of Denmark-Norway).

There is nothing in the rules to suggest in any way that Norway becomes a part of Germany in this situation.

Keep in mind this at the beginning of the rules section it is stated: 'While reading the rules, do not infer or imagine more to a rule
than is stated in it.'

Okay.

Since Denmark-Norway cedes Denmark, it loses the Influence marker.
