Thoughthammer is showing the game as a Summer 2007 release and are taking pre-orders for it. So I imagine it should be pretty soon.

Rob, don't listen to Clearclaw; it is NOT the same game.

GMT is reprinting this very soon, so it should be a short wait. I think you'll love it!

Really? How so? As far as I can see the games are mechanically identical in their most recent incarnations (Schotten Totten now has BattleLine's power cards). Only the thematic trappings are different.

I believe Schotten Totten has 1-9, while Battle Line has 1-10. Also the rules are slightly different (6 cards in hand vs. 7?) (pick up a stone anytime on your turn or only before you play your card...?)

Yep, the going up to to 10 is one of the differences. There was a thread a month or two back, going into details.

I'd just wait for the Spinal Tap edition, it will go up to 11 devil

Actually I am sure Mary mentioned something about Battle Line and reprint and July on episode 98 of The Dice Tower, although I was getting off a tram and crossing a street at the time, so my full concentration was not on the podcast at the time meeple

Yes, they are. I bought it in february and it had the special cards with them.
I think it is mentioned on the back of the little box.

I thought that Schotten-totten was exactly the same as Battleine (except for the art)
Now I'm curious whether it makes a big difference.

Who sells Schotten-Totten in the U.S.? I haven't had any more success tracking down Schotten-Totten than Battle Line.

Thanks.

The reprint is on their Project 500 list in the "Not There Yet" section with only 43 pre-orders (one of them mine). Not sure what that means given the claim that they would reprint it by July. The pre-order is $14 (instead of $20) so if you're interested in getting this game go pre-order it.

Re: OOP!?! Anybody know when I'll be able to purchase this
GMT only puts reprints on the P500 as a courtesy to those who want to pre-order it. They don't make them go to 500 like the new games, therefore, they can get printed almost anytime once they announce the reprint. I am guessing they'll be charging and shipping this soon...

Re: OOP!?! Anybody know when I'll be able to purchase this
As an FYI, the latest GMT version of Battle Line is officially out & available. If you're wondering if you have the latest printing, it has a 2007 copyright date on the bottom-right of the front of the box. So people can cease paying $30 for it on eBay now.
