Hi, I'm designing a short campaign set in the Antarctic region, where the weather is just as deadly as monsters and cultists. Beginning with a rescue operation players will accumulate the frostbite effects, making each scenario harder and harder.

What do you think?

Re: "The Dead Of Winter" - Custom Scenario Teaser
I came here hoping for some custom investigators from Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game.

Sparky would be a legit investigator...

Have you read Lovecraft's story At the Mountains of Madness?

Might I suggest something with 'mountains' or 'madness'?

I will leave turning that story into game to someone more talented than me. So yeah - name changed

Set icons have been, so far, in black and white only, but I like the direction of your set icon.

I think it is an ideal set for a campaign.
What's the status of the design? Is it finished? Are you playtesting or are you still designing it?

In such a setting, I guess the big treaths (apart from monsters) would be
a) Being lost in the middle of a snowstorm; and b)Loss of vital supplies;

Most of the cards are done. I completed this scenario solo once getting a second worst ending and I'm planning heavy playtesting with gf during the holiday with a release (hopefully) in the first week of January.

Yeah, weather and temperature will play a huge role in this campaign.

Great idea - the Kurt Russell version of IT would be great inspiration

John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) Yes, always.

The original story - Who Goes There? by John Campbell Jr. (1938) - is also amazing and totally appropriate.

Now I'm going to have to watch The Thing again it's a classic and tonight will be perfect, currently playing through Elder Sign - Omens of Ice against Rlim-Shaikorth.

Look forward to trying this scenario once it's available.

First you take your extra core sets and...

You can usually cut the cards out with a paper guillotine and then sleeve them with spare cards, like Magic cards.

Hi!

This one seems really promising!

Is there a chance that you finished it and can share the cards?

I really would like to play this with my wife.
