September 2016

What else ?
How about 2009 ? For sure they've published a mission or two then, at the launch of new edition.

There is a Compendium of Space Hulk Missions thread.

Compendium is from 2012 so I'm not sure it is actual.

( there was a "design your own mission" called "MIssion XIII" PDF that was on GW's website in 2009, but it wasn't very good )

We attempted to make our own missions but we found it quite difficult to find a good balance between challenge and making the mission impossible.

You kind of need to playtest many times and modify the mission with the feedback - which takes quite a bit of time and work. If you do not pay too often then it kind of becomes not so popular. A shame really but it would be so much better if GW would simply support Space-Hulk - it clearly has its fans

If any one fancies cooking up a sort of Boardgame Geek SH Mission set let's hear some ideas

If balance is an issue come up with ways around it. Missions that work on kill counts, how many people you can free form cryogenic chambers or artifacts retrieved. Play the same mission twice, swap sides, the winner is who killed the most, rescued the most, retrieved the most. Now it doesn't matter if it's heavily stacked 1 way. The Genestealer player doesn't win if killing all the marines and for the Marines there must always be more things to retrieve, research, kill, free.

Create a point system and missions with multiple mixed goals People/Artifacts/Kills plus bonus for marines survived. The strategy in deciding what to go for first, what to leave behind, when to quite and finally get out. Got to love a good exit strategy.

Could do it via a mission generator and randomly build maps.

Could even roll for a priority objective and keep this secret, write it down, reveal at the end. For those objectives you get a bonus. Now the Genestealer player needs to guess your true intentions and the Marines can bluff it. Make it look like a rescue mission but really it's a kill count and the Genestealer player throws endless hordes at you. This would be the only thing to change when you switch on the same map.
