To be honest this is the only card I don't understand and it's because I don't understand it that I really never used it.

The card says you choose a player and then each other's pawn may move to the region of this player... but this doesn't make sense really because it would be a duplicate of the airlift card.

How do you guys play this card?

I saw your strategy post, and I think since you've been playing 2 players, that card would be the same as Airlift. If you have 3 or more players/characters, then you could potentially move ALL players to one region with Emergency Conference.

Isn't airlift you move one pawn anywhere? This is moving all the other pawns to the position of one pawn.

It's useful for bringing everyone together to share samples.

I understand but the card doesn't say move any pawn to the region of the selected player. It says move each other's pawns... that's what's troubling me.

So what do you think: select a player and then you can move any pawn to the region of that player (including multiple and potentially all players whereas the airlift only allows you to move ONE pawn)?

Yes, this is correct. Thematically, one pawn has called an "emergency conference", and all (or some) of the other pawns may go to visit him/her in that pawn's region.

Yep that's what I thought but "any" is not the same as "each other".
The event description is misleading.

I can see what you're saying, but I think they were just trying to be distinct between players and their pawns.

It's gotta be useful to pull in the containment and quarantine specialist for an immediate auto-removal of infection dice in a region crammed with multiple dice of the same color. Also... some characters have troubles reaching some areas due to the lockdown and if one gets there he may then call others in... then leave the region attended (hopefully they'll be re-rolling the hot zone in their turn and remove the lockdown).

It is useful and yes, the name of the card reveals its goal but why "Each Other" instead of "Any" ... a printing error perhaps...
