Flat Top (1977) - this and sister C.V. (1979) really scratch that carrier itch
Seapower & the State (1982) - strategic WW III and naval. Awesome
Angola (1988) - great topic, unique system, well done!
EastFront II (1991) - just love this game
EuroFront II (1995) - my top strategic WWII game
Afrika (second edition) (2006) - rises above the usual SCS series with an interesting theater and specific supply rules
Napoleon's Triumph (2007) - it just looks so damn good!
Band of Brothers: Screaming Eagles (2011) - first in a series that just keeps improving
Red Winter: The Soviet Attack at Tolvajärvi, Finland – 8-12 December 1939 (2012) - best rulebook ever

(my New Year's resolution should be to play each of these in 2017. Along with Where There Is Discord: War in the South Atlantic and Bitter Woods: Designer Edition...it would be a great year!)
