I had Fields of Green on my short list to get to play with my wife and son.

I had heard that Fields of Green for some replaces Among the Stars. But I recently also heard that Capital is an Among the Stars killer. As examples of this, Rahdo said the first in his review of Fields of Green; Tom Vasal said the second in his review of Capital (where I believe he preferred AtS to FoG).

Why would you recommend one over the other; OR is there another, better game that scratches the same itch?

FWIW, my wife is repulsed by space, dungeon, and horror themes.

Do you want a drafting game or a city/farm building game?

Fields of Green looks to be a slight step up in complexity from Among the Stars. I think it looks good from the Dice Tower review.

Not sure about the drafting mechanism in Warsaw: City of Ruins which is a huge part of the Artipia games.
