Does crossing the bridge symbols next to the village and the city count as a 'bridge' for purposes of getting rid of the poltergeist?

Isn't the only bridge the one with the Sentinel ?
I don't see a bridge across Storm river next to the village or the city.

Then you should probably look again. There is a river that flows in a rectangle around the board, between the outer and middle regions. At the City space, and Village space, there is a T-intersection where the river continues to flow off the board.

Polty also isn't about bridge, it's about crossing the River, whether via bridge, raft or ferry.

I see that.
I always assumed that the River was River Storm as a border between the outer and medium regions.
I also play on the Nomad Games electronic version, and I don't have noticed that Poltergeist went away when corssing the rivulets next to the city or the village.
I will.check that.

OK.
I played it wrong, then.
Not my first time, anyway.

I always thought the Poltergeist should also go away when you cross the Chasm because there's definitely water all the way across the space. But alas, no.

Water isn't the issue, Running Water is the issue. Supernatural creatures so affected can cross a lake, heck they can cross an ocean, but they can't cross a gently babbling brook. Even if they move without traveling through intervening space, such a creature could never get to an "island" in the middle of a forking river, but could get to an island in a lake (or ocean).
