So, the ks is coming up in January, right? Has Gamelyn let on how much this game will cost?

Don't think anyone has mentioned it yet.

But for me, really looking forward to it. Sounds nifty. I don't really care how much it is. Well, unless its like $500!

Most games are expensive these days, don't expect this one to be different. Plus shipping.

Many games are expensive. Many others can be had for very reasonable prices.

I guess it is in reference to the market sale price after the freebies and component upgrades from the stretch goals kick in.

For exemple, the retail price for the game Evolution is WAY too high for what the game is because of the upgraded bags (which are practically useless) and the first player dino-meeple (which is also practically useless and way too big for what it is needed for), just because of the kickstarter stretch goals.

It just seems useless to generalize about "games on Kickstarter" because they are all different. It's like generalizing about "games with red boxes".

My first reaction was "Leave Victory Point Games alone", but then understood the tone of the discussion.

PS. I love VPG red boxes.

Games with miniatures always are a deluxe expense. These are the reasons why Tiny Epic games shine: small and cheap. I would like to see chibi version of miniatures as an optional purchase or version of the game.

That is also your opinion. Some people may not have an issue with it.

I talked to someone at Gamelyn a while back and for the base box he inofficially spoke about something around an 150 buck MSRP and something inbetween 90 and 120$ for the KS. But this was just an estimation at that point (October). But it might give you a rough direction.
We'll see on the 26th anyway meeple

I hope that is not correct. I can't/won't spend that much on a game.

All Tiny Epic games up to date was cheaper on KS than CSI/MM retail price. Also, i got them earlier than retail. Hope this one will be the same.

I'm fine with the price range mentioned by Tobias. Has lots of plastic and bits so that seems reasonable. What's more important to me is supporting 5 players. We rarely have 4 so would rarely get to the table otherwise.

I'm sure it is a reasonable price for what is included. I just don't care about a bunch of miniatures and don't need them or the added cost to enjoy an otherwise quality game. I just wish and hope they have a version with simple cardboard counters but I am guessing there won't be.

Please add a version with those standees, I like those and it's cheaper.. I don't care about minis, that just makes a game more expensive.

if it's that expensive just because it has minis, I'm out.

I am also fine with something like this being over $100. I'm sure it will be much more when you buy the AddOn factions that I believe they said there might be as many as 4? Probably 10-20$ a piece there too.

If you don't like the premium cost, you should probably not back a premium game and go for their Tiny Epic line. Tiny Epic Kingdoms, especially with the Hero Expansion, is quite amazing, and has a lot of these same mechanics.

Please don't detract from an amazing premium game that we have all been begging for for years now. Please Gamelyn, don't waste your time producing any more cardboard standees for a "cheaper" game.

Can't wait for next week!
