I found this in the "Bullseye's Playground" bargain bins near the entry.

The quality is roughly what you should expect out of $3 of bargain bin tray. For my purposes, the price was right, and this message sets just the right tone for my current game.

Measures 9×9×1 inches, with a depth of ⅞. Banana for scale.

Excellent find...

For those interested, here's a link to check local inventory.

First time I read it I thought the depth was 7/8 of a banana

You may want to rethink that last statement.

The imminent death of the Cavendish banana?

Banana for scale is it's own bit altogether.

Good find op. I also only remember this from the staircase Reddit thread. I didn't realize it went back that far.

You could use the banana to attack someone and use the tray as a shield to stop someone attacking with a Kiwi.... unless of course they have taken this self defense class....

Oooooh! Dice trays from the future!

Matt, hot clattery is it without any felt (or other damping material) on the bottom?

Heh. Saw Mr. Idle and Mr. Cleese live just a few weeks ago, and they showed a clip from that sketch. Made my night.

As for the rest of this thread, I really can't afford nice things like the fancy Target dice tray. So I buy smaller items and use plantains to make them seem bigger.

This is an excellent find. Thank you for sharing. My Pathfinder group needs something a little more sturdy than the "box of decision" (ie, whichever random board game box we have lying around.

Thanks. I picked up a couple. Should be noted there are a couple of different designs. So, they may be out of this one but have a few of the others.

It's a bit shallow to be a super-effective Dice Tray.

I don't mean to poo-poo the deal, but thought I'd point out that 1" height is quite shallow.

Your poo is noted.

Having converted a shadowbox into a dice tray before, this is actually a point in favor for me. I'm tired of having to move the tray or crane my neck to see dice that come to rest along the near wall. Instead spending my effort chasing dice that roll out of this tray will be a nice change of pace.

It's fairly clattery. If you would like the world to know that you are rolling dice, this tray will help. (It should be pretty easy to add felt, though, if one were so inclined.)

I found something else I liked better -- it's also a picture for $3 that has sides, but I just turned it over and the sides are slightly taller.

This one has rules for a playroom on the "art" side! SKEW description is "shadowbox -- playroom rules." It does need a liner to be perfect, though.

They are right by the other ones if you are looking.

You are all ignoring the intended use for this item, which is clearly a safe, secure place to roll your banana.

Kingdom Death: Monster - it's the source of the sample d10s above.

(Banana was from a different game.)
