So in this alternative universe what has happened from the results being announced through to January 2 2017?

Please avoid references to what happened in the universes where Hillary did not win.

The GOP did a rush nomination of Merrick Garland in fear of Clinton pulling him and presenting a more liberal choice.

A random asshole didn't try to run down one of my old friends for crossdressing in public right after the election, either.

Depends on whether or not the GOP stayed in control of the Senate:

- If they had the most liberal SCOTUS nominees would be rejected
but some would have made it through the process.

If the GOP had lost control of the Senate:

- The SCOTUS would have taken a sharply leftward turn, clearly.

- Taxes would have continued to go up, employment would have continued
to go down, more companies would have moved overseas, the US would
have gotten weaker and weaker.

Many people who were demanding a recount would be saying that the election is over and it's time to move on. Many people who are now saying that the election is over and it's time to move on would be (or would have been) demanding a recount.

The market rally would have been smaller but also broader, resulting more from a removal of uncertainty and a steady hand than from expectations of financial deregulation.

Concern over Russian hacking would be more bi-partisan.

Trump would have launched his new media venture and would be consolidating his support -- and his database of them -- both of which he would leverage into considerable financial gain.

Bernie supporters would be saying that he would have won by a much bigger margin and would also have recaptured the House and Senate.

Her transition would look more conventional that Trump's.

Not too much else would be different, as, you know, she wouldn't be POTUS yet.

I'll add:

China wouldn't have captured a US drone sub.

Russia wouldn't have pushed for a cease fire in Syria.
