THE CAKE IS A LIE !!!

This game has been out since 2007.
There have been many reviews about what is good and what is not.
Is there ever going to be an updated Second Edition for StarCraft?

Before anyone says it, Forbidden Stars doesn't count.
(FS stands on it's own merit)

The license has expired, and Blizzard has shown no signs of interest in renewing it, so the odds are pretty low that a second edition will ever happen.

Forbidden Stars was the system going forward. Straight from the CEO of FFG's mouth.

So now you will need a third version, with yet another universe to put it in...

Maybe one with lazer swords and planet destroying super weapons.

Something in that universe that isn't just 2 player nonsense.

Let's avoid this game system forever. I love it, don't get me wrong, but any franchise that adopts it ends up not re-signing with FFG. Want a Star Wars game the same way? How long until FFG and Star Wars splits ways?! When is enough enough? WHEN?!?!

Thanks for the info.
That's a pity.
I could never afford the current market cost for a copy.
Still, I would have thought there would be a more than sufficiently large enough fan-base to try for a new tweaked rules edition.

Sadly no reprint at least as Starcraft.

In my opinion FS failed to take the legacy of Starcraft...and actually no expansions for FS is a clear sign of its failure.

By the way Starcraft is a game not suitable today. You have to play it a lot of times to understand it and than maybe master it. I think 10 plays to undetstand what to do: then you are ready to learn the Art of War hidden in Starcraft.
Today it is only hype for new stuff. No lust to learn and enjoy deep games.
Just say "next" as in a queue at the butcher.

I hope the OP may try Starcraft one day.
I did more than 80 plays expecially 2 Vs 2 and still now I'm used to plan 2 or 3 plays with my friends every year.

Sadly, FFG doesn't work anymore with Games Workshop

I couldn't have said it better myself! Playing 2 vs 2 team play was my best boardgame experience in my life, and we still play it a few times a year.
My only regret is that we didn't protect the game components (especially order tokens) and now they are in a very bad shape..

There is an italian version at very reasonable price in the market, and if you are willing to splur a bit, there is a guy in London selling it for 65pounds. Just not sure if the S&H will kill it to send from Europe to Australia
