Our initial group block sold out last year, but our agent has confirmed that there are cabins still available that she can add to our group!
Details about our cruise are available at www.boardgamingatsea.com
The original group rate was $499pp for an interior room & includes the Ulitmate Beverage Package (unlimited adult beverages up to $15 each & unlimted soft drinks).
The new rates will depend on what is available, but our agent will still include the Ultimate Beverage Package.
Here's a quick summary of how we compare to BGG@Sea & the Dice Tower Cruise:
1. We also offer open gaming in a dedicated conference area.
2. Game library - Our library will be slightly smaller than DTC, but not by much. We average about 200 games and cover a wide range of themes, mechanics and new & old titles. Our attendees also bring a lot of their own games to share.
3. Fellow Gamers - We have a good mix of every type of adult gamer. For kids, we have more teens going now than small children. The teens tend to play together & I'm pleasantly surprised each year that they all actually game together!
4. Cabin Welcome Bags include a couple of free games & other goodies. We also do raffles through the cruise.
We are a smaller group, but there it is never a problem getting into a game. Table space is generally not a problem. The busiest time is the day at sea. Many do stay on the ship while at port to play.
We don't have game celebs or the BGG Library, but we play the same types of games as everyone else on those cruises & we are a fun group. We offer great value & the Norwegian Epic is a beautiful ship.
I encourage people to go on any of the game cruises out there. It really is a fun way to do a cruise. Check us out!
