I have the Fantasy Flight edition and preparing for my first game play. sauron

I was thinking I might like to use a bag to draw tiles instead of stacking tiles. Any affect on the game if drawing from the bag compared to stacking tiles?

I've thought about that. The main problem I can think of is the Gandalf "Foresight" card, which allows inspection and rearrangement of the top three tiles. You could still draw three, possibly rearrange, and then execute all three in proper sequence.

No affect.

Well, it's always fun to blame another player for drawing (from the bag) an Event tile as if it was their fault.

I've played with both.

From my experience it doesn't change the randomness too much.

Benefit of in a bag is that you throw them in and draw them out vs shuffling into a pile and maybe knocking them over (i've done this before)

Best of luck

We use a bag, because it is easier, and arguably more fun. As suggested, when we do "foresight", we just pull 3 out and arrange them for our next 3 draws.

We use a bag as well, simply because it's easier. If you got one lying around, I'd definitely suggest using it rather than the stacks of tiles.

With 4 players I think the bag will work better. Thanks for the tip on the Gandolf card. I'm looking forward to playing this.

It does indeed. It also gives the alternative Gandalf card for foresight:
Gandalf: Forsight wrote:
Draw 5 tiles from the back and display them face up. While they remain, players must chose from these tiles instead of drawing from the bag

There are also extra tiles for the added for when using Sauron and extra dark event tiles to make the bag draw more of a challenging game (with extra rules) with or without Sauron as a player.
