Do any Republicans feel that the national intelligence agencies have it wrong with respect to Russian hacking? Even Repubs in Congress are alarmed by Trump's handling of the intelligence community so far. What is odd, Trump has drawn conclusions before hearing the agencies briefings. He's gone so far down the hole of cozying up to Putin that he can no longer get out without getting egg on his face.
Sadly, this is the first episode that shows me he will turn the other cheek, from both a policy and ethical standpoint, if the issue in question conveniently favors him (which the hacking did). Unfortunately, what favors him, does not necessarily favor the American people at large.
We are in deep doo-doo in this country, when we have a President that, from the onset, seems to be disparaging the intelligence community rather publicly. Have they gotten it wrong in the past, for sure. Will they do so again, for sure. Are they wrong here, not sure, possibly. But the President should at minimum, listen to the briefings, and make his own independent judgement, without the need to publicly bash those that provide the info. Shoot too many messengers, and they will no longer bring you messages.
