Go then. There are other worlds than these.
Thurn & Taxis
The game started off in normal-ish fashion with both Jordan and Alistair claiming a 3 carriage on the second turn. Strangely both sets of post offices were placed in Ulm and Stuttgart. Andrew also claimed a 3 on about the third turn and got a few post offices in the lower west then decided to concentrate on being the first to secure all of Baiern province.
Jordan and Alistair meanwhile began building up smaller routes in mostly the western provinces. Alistair also managed to get an office in Lodz. Jordan claimed bonus chits for WurttembergHohenzollern & Tyrol/Schweiz province and Alistair claimed Wurttemberg/Hohenzollern .
Andrew then completed his Baiern run placing a post office on every city except Kempten (which he already had) claiming the first Baiern chit and a 7 route length chit.
The game continued with Andrew looking to be in a commanding position chit-wise with long routes and a couple of provinces. Jordan and Alistair had gone for smaller routes but were both working there way up through the carriages. In terms of chits they both had very few (Alistair only had Wurttemberg/Hohenzollern).
The last round began with Jordan starting a new route. Alistair then added to his already long routes and decided to score it:
Freiburg – Zurich – Sigmaringen – Kempten – Innsbruck – Salzburg – Passau
Placing post offices on Freiburg, Zurich, Innsbruck and Salsburg and as such taking a 7 carriage, the game end chit, the all provinces chit, a Tyrol/Schweiz , a Bohem/Salzburg chit, a Baden chit and a 7 route length chit. Andrew was then unable to claim another route.
Jordan (Can’t quite remember but I don’t think he hit double figures)
There were two very different strategies used; Andrew going for big routes off the blocks; while Jordan and Alistair tried the slow build up of carriages.
Jordan also used the Administrator the most which I think may have hindered him more than it helped.
