Hey all,

So, as the Axis what do you do to prevent the fall of Africa or do you do anything? Other than getting PZ AA (DAK?) on the board, is there any other reason to "waste" points in Africa? Do you either "go for it" in Africa or just a bit? Not sure.

Any advice? Thanks,
Jason

My very limited experience is that the Brits, under normal conditions, have everything they need to win in Africa, even without Torch ever showing up. However, sometimes (if the situation in the Eastern Front allows it and the Germans get an early PAA) the Germans can bet high in Africa at a relatively low price and get big rewards from time to time. It's very rewarding when you manage to take Cairo and force the Allies to take many actions in Africa.

Cards willing, it can be worthwhile to focus on Africa during the winter when the Eastern Front troops are at a disadvantage. If you can apply adequate pressure that the Allies have to spend their cards to counter you and keep you from breaking through to the Middle East....the tempo favors the Axis.
