We played this as our 3rd scenario - heroes had tough time coming through the opposition but Conan walked out of his cell, broke princess free, killed the hyenas and escorted the princess out.

We concluded that players win the scenario if the closest exist to princess is a valid one (50%) and if not, OL will put up a fight with reinforcement etc for so long that he is likely to win (50%).

So in essence - you can resolve the scenario by just looking at the nearest exist token :-D

Ok - one thing we played wrong now (reading new rule book) - Princess wouldn't be able to walk on her own but would either be carried or moved with Leadership skill as activating allys.

If the "4-hyenas" exit is a valid one, it's indeed quite hard for the OL.
I played that the OL knows the valid exits beforehand (but the heroes don't), so he can plan his strategy accordingly. Makes sense thematically, since the flavor text says the fortress is Natohk's stronghold.

Edit : and don't forget that all doors are locked for the heroes, but OL's units can move freely though them.

Doors we played correctly.

I agree- OL should know the right exists to be able to defend them more effectively. However- if in that case the farthest are valid then it is even more difficult to heroes.

Like said - this scenarios is not well designed.

The hyenas exit should be elsewhere.

imho, it's indeed a mistake.
Even if OL know where the exit is, if heroes just try the hyenas passage, (they still have 1 chance out of 2 that it is) and Conan can still escape with OL barely able to slow him.
So when I play it, I either remove this passage, or put it somewhere else (close to the others)
