I'm thinking about replacing the the FI pawns with pawns from other games, but as many of you know they have to be a certain size. To my knowledge the FI tokens are made of plastic and are just under an inch tall. I don't have the game yet though it is on the way.

Game pawns I thought may work are from Lord OF The Rings game from Hasbro, and Indiana Jones Life game. Army men might suffice, not sure. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Looking for explorer type pawns.

I like to use Star Wars Micro Machines figures. They are about the same size and weight, just slightly shorter than Fireball Island figures. Axis & Allies infantry might work.

I used pawns from the Indiana Jones DVD Adventure Game. I just had to trim the sides bases a little bit. They fit nicely thematically, but are a little bigger than the originals.

Pawns with round bases (like A&A minis) do not work well due to shape of board spaces. Airfix plastic army me are cheap and most have bases that work well with this.

If you can find them, pawns from this game are also PERFECT!

If you have a 3D printer, or know someone who has one, you can print out replacement parts for the game. At least you can have similar looking pawns. These are not my creations, I am just linking to them.

Thats funny cause I use 2 infantry from Axis and Allies to up the player count from 4 to 6. The bases are much smaller than the spaces on the board, and they fall over just as well when hit by a fireball.
