Does the "free combat Round in the Breakthrough Combat Phase of Turn 1 in any two contested areas" for the Syrian Player from the Historical Setup (22.17) also apply to the Alternate Setup?

Thanks

No, the free combat round is only for the Historical Scenario!

Interesting. What's the reason for this? I would think this would make the Alternate Setup game significantly harder for the Syrians.

Well, the Syrians are also favored by the option to attack with the armored and mech units first!

I will post some additional optional rules during the summer! There will also be an additional scenario, Operation Al-Owda! This was the initial Syrian plan, starting earlier and with both Tank Divisions ready for action at start as well as all the commando assets.
