BLOOD RAGE UNOFFICIAL ADVANCED RULES by Metadna
These 2 variants do not distort the physiognomy of the game while significantly increasing the strategic possibilities, the unpredictability and dynamism of the game.
They also combine perfectly with each other.
They reinforce the "mythological fiber" of the game.
VARIANT: The arrival of Surtr
(More details about Surtr https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surtr)
Figurines that perform an invasion in the province with the Doom token, as well as in the neightbour Fjord.
Only pays one rage.
(This rule takes priority over all other effects of the game, it only affects the cost of invasion, STR is not affected).
«Surtr moves from the south
With the scathe of branches:
There shines from his sword
The sun of Gods of the Slain »
Purpose: the ride of the dead.
EFFECTS OF THE VARIANT:
The province with the Ragnarok marker becomes a priority entry portal for monsters in play (especially for the Fire Giant and the Troll)
So saturating figurines this province allows both a potential gain of Glories and to curb the introduction of powerful monsters.
Increases strategic interest as well as challenge for the occupation of the Ragnarok and adjacent Fjord provinces and makes the strategy "Gain of glories by Ragnarok" more perilous
Offers an alternative to players with little rage to bring in costly monsters
And of fact limits the effect "race to markers point of rage" in favor of markers axes and hornes.
VARIANT: Nídhögg flying over the plain
(More details about Nídhögg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%AD%C3%B0h%C3%B6ggr)
For each of your destroyed miniatures in Yggdrasil Province you may return a Drakkar from a Fjord, on your reserve.
"There comes the shadowy
Glittering snake, up
From Dark of the Moon Hills.
He carries in his pinions
-he flies over the field-
Malice Striker, corpses.
Now will she sink. "
Purpose: "with it ends the old order".
EFFECTS OF THE VARIANT
Increases strategic possibilities with Drakkars
Offers additional interest for major central conflicts
This variant offers the possibility of recycling these Drakkars
And eventually being able to dominate the sea by new provinces.
Using the variant "The arrival of Surtr" it is possible to place these Drakkars in the Fjord adjacent to the province with the marker Ragnarok (in order to benefit from the Glory granted by the Ragnarok) at low cost (1 rage per Drakkar).
If M.Lang reads to me ... I hope that one day these variants will be integrated into the official rule.
Good game everyone.
