1. Introduce yourself. Where are you from? What should listeners know about you?

I'm The Eric Booth and I currently live in Cary, NC, which arguably has one of the largest gaming communities around. Pretty lucky to live here. I'm originally from East Liverpool, OH and graduated HS in 1986, Yes that says 1986. After which I spent a 6 year enlistment in the USAF at Castle AFB, CA. I used to play bass and drums in various bands ranging from hard core punk to Americana. And I used to be a semi pro Magician.

2. What games or types of games are you interested in?

I think it would be easier to say what kind of games I don't like to play: Mainly Social Deduction games, and any kind of game where the main focus is stocks and trading. Other than that I'm pretty much open to play anything from the driest Euro to the most theme dripping Amerithrash game.

3. Do you have a favorite game or games you enjoy most?

My favorite games, hmmm. Well my go-to games are The Castles of Burgundy, Terraforming Mars, Viticulture and Fields of Arle. But like I said, I love playing a wide range of games.

4. What are some of the most memorable experiences have you had with tabletop board games in the past?

As for my most memorable experience I've had board gaming was coming to the realization that the Fireside Gathering of Hearthstone contributed nothing to actually interacting with actually people. But this experience lead me down the path to actual social interaction that is physical board games.

5. What is the focus of your WDYPTW segment?

Sometimes it's personal stories on how board gaming has helped me leave my anxiety riddled shell. Most of the time though it's off the cuff, nonsensical board game reviews.

Well that's me in a nutshell.

To hear Eric's very first review on WDYPTW, you can go back and grab Episode 39 where he reviews, Viceroy. Starts at about the 11:15 mark.

Eric was the first to reach out to me after I started opening up the show to others who may want to participate and has been a fantastic contributor ever since. One of these days I'm going to make it out there to NC for some gaming!!

My parents retired to NC, so the next time I go down to visit them I am totally going to have to swing by Cary and make it to a game night at, what is it, the Game Armory?

But forget about that, I really want to hear more about Booth being a magician.

Booth is one of my favorite people I have ever met. When I showed up at game night not knowing anyone in the room, he was the one who spoke to me. He is so welcoming and kind. He has the best attitude while playing games. He feels like a brother to me. I am happy to know him and to have logged over 100 plays with him. I could play any game with Booth and enjoy myself.

Excellent, excellent job with the podcast. I especially love the personal stories he shares with us all.
