got my 10 300% scale turning keys back from the printer today, they look great. have to cut them myself though.

Also the vinyl banner print that will be the arena should be here this week as well.

sent off the dropped weapon, debris, obstacle, etc, counters to be printed. things are coming together. I've got a miniature wargame meet this sunday in Carmichael, CA, where I'll roll out the banner and take some pictures. If you are in the area come by and check it out, send me a message for location and details.

Took some photos of the arena this weekend. The tables at the library were not quite wide enough so I propped up the edges with some chairs for the pictures. to play I'd have to put them 2 tables wide. There are some hot wheel cars thrown in for scale. don't have my dropped weapon counters back yet.
the driving points you get for certain routes are printed right on the banners for reference.

When I die I want people to look at the condition of my games and say, "Man, he really played these alot."

That looks awesome. Great idea to have the points actually printed on the banner.

I asked at the SJG CW forums as well but how much did that banner cost?

$192.20 including shipping. It's a big arena though. I did upgrade the vinyl banner weight one step to make it more durable.
I figure I probably came out ahead, versus if you consider the cost of time and materials to make a miniature arena of this size.
It took me a couple evenings of microsoft publisher to make the sheet in one size, then printed to adobe pdf using adobe professional, and convert that pdf in 4 steps to a PNG image that would be accepted by their webtool.
bannerbuzz.com was the website I used.

The driving route points I made up, we'll see how it goes. But drawing them on the map in several places makes it clear to the players.

Hi,
Are you using the Classic Car Wars released a couple of years ago?

technically no, since all the pre built cars are using the uncle al's rules plus a couple items from pyramid (high torque motors).
But, the classic car wars is the most recent copy of the rules people can buy in the store. The combat rules are all the same I believe. just the gear changes.
Also I use the Car Wars Combat Garage site to make the vehicles.
