For the scoring of the temple, the rule book states that ties score the same number of points. How would the following example be scored? Blue has five coins, purple has five coins, grey has three coins, and yellow has one coin?

Does blue and purple get 10 points, then grey four points and yellow two points?

OR

Does blue and purple get 10 points, then grey get seven points and yellow get four points?

Thank you.

Per normal rules, the second one is correct!

But if you apply the first option, you'll must to do this: 10+7=17, 17/2=8,5, so blue and purple will receive only 8 points each (instead of 10).

EDIT: Following the same concept, in a case of a 2nd and 3rd places tied, the formula will be: 7+4=11, 11/2=5,5, to 5 points istead of 7. Or even in a triple tie!: 10+7+4=21, 21/3=7, to 7 points instead of 10.

See this thread.

Resolving end-game ties at the Temple

The designer himself answers the question a few replies down. (And Ariel is correct. It's 10-10-7-4.)
