The priest card states that instead of attacking with the priest you may remove 1 wound token from a common unit adjacent to him. Sera same thing but instead of attacking you may spend 1 magic to remove up to 2 wound markers to an adjacent unit.
My question is do they have to have a valid legitimate possible attack on an ENEMEY unit? Ie the priest being a meele common unit, would he have to be adjacent to an enemy before being able to heal? Because technically you are allowed to attack your own units so couldn't one argue that instead of attacking your own person you chose to heal them and that just counts as one of your 3 attacks allowed? The same could be argued for sera.
The plaid hat games website says the strategy is to bring the enemy close to you so you can heal which suggests my thinking is wrong but wanted to get the bgg input on this.
