Quick question for those of you who've done paste ups!

What's the best option:

Sticker paper
Regular paper, shoved in with the sleeve
Regular paper, glued down

I'd sleeve in all 3 circumstances - just wondering if anyone has any opinions/experiences based on what they did!

If you're going to sleeve anyway, it'd be easiest, and cheapest, to just print and sleeve with a playing card.

But is that secure? Will it not shift during gameplay if not secured?

I guess it depends on both sleeve quality (affecting both the general fit and size consistency between sleeves) and the size you cut the paper. I don't use a lot of proxies, but I printed out some custom cards for Legendary. They stayed put, generally.

But I'm not talking about printing a whole proxy in front of the card - just the paste ups that cover the top 1/3 of the card.

Oh. Well then, I have no idea what you're talking about. I assumed "paste-ups" was just a term I hadn't heard that meant "making my own game 'cause this is out of print." I'm sorry about that!

Hopefully someone else can give you some help on this. I'll just see myself out. blush

Start with the easiest option - shove paper into the sleeve.

If that then moves, then glue it down, preferably with something thin or non-permenant (like a single coat of rubber cemeent).

A trick I've used before is to glue the paste-ups to the inside of the sleeve. Doesn't work with all kinds of glue though, and it's not as pretty as many of the alternatives. (double-sided tape works fine)
Otoh, the card is not affected, and that's a big plus for many people.
