Hi,
My son adores games with variablenplayer powers, so I've been considering some powers for this game. But It is a very tight game. Will house rules and variant break it ?

Some examples of what I'm considering:

-Once per turn, your mouse can put a die of any color onto green.
-Once per turn, when you place your mouse on orange, place another mouse into the same food item.
-Once per turn you may reroll one die.
-alternate: you may discard one die to reroll one die.
-once per game you may prevent the cat from moving one space. You miss your next turn.

These will make the game easier to be sure. I'll have to balance them out with some items to make it more difficult. What do you think?

Interesting idea but considering how tight the game is, it would be hard not to break it unless some of these variable powers are more like a handicap. For instance:
- one mouse (player) is injured so it can only roll twice.
- one mouse is older so it can only roll 2 dice.
- one mouse is allergic to fish
etc...
