The original nomenclature is "Death Star" (two words)!

Cool looking game! I love the idea that you can be in charge of (and harvesting) the sun

Just a couple of rule-related things I noticed:

- In general, for the english-speaking reader, it might be better if you replace 'plane' with 'spaceship' or 'fighter' or something else, just because 'plane' and 'planet' are very similar words!

- I'm not sure it says which player goes first in each phase.

Unfortunately I don't have a printer, so it won't be easy for me to test. I wonder how the 'tug-of-war' aspect works, so how players can steal each others planets. I have tried it before, and it can be difficult to balance because if the both players are doing the same thing in this kind of game, it can become very slow, and/or it's difficult for the losing player to do anything. But I haven't tested it yet, so I might be very wrong! Just something to watch out for...

Hiya, just playtested your game.

I like the kind of "light weight drafting game" feel to it. The theme is also good, though I feel you could get more out of it. The gameplay itself though, I feel is very unbalanced. Unless I misunderstood the rules, the game seems to have a very strong advantage to the first player.



Components/theme
* The numbers of the starfighter use a font that is hard to distinguish, in particular 2 and 3 look very similar.
Manual
* The manual's language is quite confusing to me. In particular the "Construction" chapter was very hard to follow. I've read it atleast five times and still I'm not quite sure I understand it. As I understand it, you first finish building ships from the previous round, then prepare new ships to be built in the next round. I also understand you can use the resource value of an ship still in hand to build other ships if there are insufficient resources on the planets. That is how I played it.
Rules
* Do player get to alternate the phases in each round, or does the first player do all phases and only then does the second player do all the phases?
* Why are the planets shuffled? They're all the same. Perhaps you could have incorporated your theme by splitting the planets into two distinct "factions" in a war?
Gameplay
* No matter how I read the rules, I always end up with the situation where the second player is nearly completely at the defense, rarely getting a chance to attack. Depending on how to interpret the order of players, the second player doesn't stand a chance of winning.

Hope you can use this feedback to improve your game after the competition.
