The convention will be held in an amazing place: la Bibliothèque Thiers.

The place was demolished by the Communards in 1871 and rebuilt as soon as 1873. It is largely dedicated to the Napoleonic Empire and includes original Napoleon's paintings by David. It was used as hospital for the french Poilus during the Great War.

Here are some pics of the place and the salons where you'll play your favorite wargames:

Some of the salons where you will replay History

And a walk in the parc to feel the Paris vibes.

If you can't find a drink in Paris I don't know what to say. What can one NOT find in Paris?

I would be interested at some time other than September, but would need more than two and a half days' play to make the journey worthwhile.

Hi Andrew

all the tournaments have not yet been announced.
Last year we had 16 tournaments.
If you want to organize the Napoleons Triumph Tournament, you are welcome.

Because 2017 is the centennial year of the Russian Revolution, we have invited the russian history specialist Alexandre JEVAKHOFF to give a lecture around his last book : The Russian Civil War.

The conference will be held on saturday at 7PM during the Con.

The Bibliothèque Thiers/Institut de France Fondation Dosne-Thiers, where the con is held, is at 27 Place St Georges, 75009 Paris.

Lorette - Astotel
is across the road at 36 Rue Notre Dame de Lorette, 75009 Paris.

Hotel Antin Saint Georges is 40m away at 21 Rue Notre Dame de Lorette, 75009 Paris

Hôtel Arvor Paris
is just around the corner at 8 Rue Laferrière, 75009 Paris.

Of course, there are 1000s of hotels in Paris and metro station Saint-Georges, on line 12, is literally right in front of the venue if you find a hotel in another part of the city.

I live walking distance from where the con is being held so if any of you, especially if you are coming from overseas, needs help with hotels, the metro, getting into Paris from either airport (CDG/Orly), or coming in on the train, please let me know. I'm more than happy to help.
