Nice art!

More kudos to you, if you manage making it entirely language independant!

Kind regards,

That would be quite the feat! As it is now each card interacts with the others in unique ways, it would be hard. Thanks for looking, rules coming soon.

Hi! I really like your artwork and the game sounds fun.

I read your rules. A couple things came to mind:

1. How do track turns for spells that last a long time like 5 turns? Spells will pile up on the board if people continue to shoot around them (and not block them) and then you need to track multiple spells with different turn times. It seems maybe putting a dice on the card of the spell fired could count down for that spell (if there isn't a spell longer than 6 turns) or maybe cards have a tracker on them that you can use a cube or marker to move each turn? Just thoughts.

2. In your Block example of a fireball hitting the giant fireball, you said the fireball would be discarded but wouldn't it be put under the giant fireball instead to note how much damage is left for the giant fireball? Or at least that's what I would think after you gave the Slowburn example in the Attack/Defense paragraph.

Hope that makes sense/is helpful. Look forwarding to playing it!

1. I have used to just put coins on the card and removing one each round.
But dice is a much better idea!
Probably will only need one dice, most cards only need one round to hit.

2. Yes, you are absolutely correct.
Good catch, we will edit the rules.

Thanks for the feedback

There are some more recent rules that are missing from the rule document.
Namely combos.

To do a combo you have to play 3 specific cards in a row in a single turn.

3 of the same card (3 Fireballs, 3 Great Fireballs or 3 Giant Fireballs)
- Draw a card.

All different Fireball cards (1 Fireball, 1 Great Fireball and 1 Giant)
- Play a 4th card.

With those two you get to do 4 actions in a turn instead of 3.

Raw Chicken, Laser Beams and Necromancy - Frankenchicken (defeat another player)

In a 2 player session this one just wins the game.
May be overpowered, I will let you guys decide if you play with that or not.

Edit: This is now in the rule document.

Outstanding artwork. If the game play matches it, you are in with a chance for next years Golden Geek Awards Print and Play Category... if you can keep your self from publishing it.

I was hoping for the same. The PNPGDA has been fun but heavy on the ink.

I thought about it, for this contest. I'm really strapped for time. I could probably do some line work drawings, I'll see what I can pull off this week. Still haven't gotten the color version posted yet either I have a chunk of time on Friday, I will see what I can do.

Are you guys wanting lineart or just removing the background for a print friendly?

My vote would be for line-art, cuz I'm a very cheap so-n-so.

(my philosophy is to go as simple/cheap as possible for trying out new PnP stuff, then if it gets played, go for a good version)

I'm good with just white backgrounds [EDIT: leaving the foreground as it is]. If it is easy to do. Other wise I can always get the paint bucket tool and alter the current files for myself.

From art alone I am hooked! Have downloaded the files and will follow along as you develop. Do you think current files are pretty close to stable? Since it's an ink-heavy job I'd like to print once the game is mostly ready (or only a few cards will be changed)

Hey thanks!
I will try to put a low ink version out by tonight or tomorrow. Sindre is the designer so I won't say anything about possible changes. I think the low ink version would be helpful because we would definitely like help making sure it is a refined game. So....subscribe and stay tuned!!!

I think it is close to finished, but who knows what feedback we are going to get.
So you should probably just wait for the line art cards
