Hollo all, it’s been a while since we got around to doing a battle report so here you go.

Emboldened by the victory on Archanis,(https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1344265/2nd-battle-archanis) the Klingons have set their sights on the near by Ajilon system. Taking the Ajilon system will allow the Klingons to have a buffer between the Federation and Archanis system. Koloth has convinced the High Council to send more K’Tinga class vessels for the attack. The High Council is reluctant commit the new ships as their numbers are limited, however Commander Koloth has convinced them that more firepower is needed to defeat the larger Starfleet Cruisers.

Starfleet listing posts have detected a Klingon task force heading for Ajilon. As Sector Commander James Kirk has requested more support from Starfleet. Since the last engagement with the Klingons in the Archanis system, Kirk only has two combat worthy ships at his disposal, the USS Nautilus and his own ship the USS Enterprise. Not wishing to lose another system to the Klingons, Starfleet relents and dispatches the USS Constellation and the USS Intrepid to rendezvous with Kirk.

Turn 1

Turn 2
Federation moves towards the center and the Klingons split their force.

Together Kang and Koloth take out the Nautilus out of the fight. Kirk, Styles, and Decker combine fire to disable Kang’s ship.

Turn 3
Kirk destroys 1 shield on Koloth, Decker takes out 2 more and deals 1 damage. Koloth takes out 3 shields on Enterprise and inflicts 3 damage.

Turn 4

Klingons come about on the Federation.

Kor and Decker come close to a collision.

Kor inflicts 3 Damage on Enterprise, but Kirk Cheats Death once again. Styles inflicts a direct hit on Krell. Decker destroys 2 shields on Kor. Krell Destroys 2 shields on Styles.

Turn 5

Styles repairs a shield.

Koloth lands 1 hit to knock out Enterprise, Kirk uses Sacrifice to guarantee an evade. Kor uses a rear torpedo to destry 3 shields on Decker. Styles and Decker combine fire to destroy Krell.

Turn 6

Styles repairs a shield and he and Decker circle the planet. Kirk reverses on the Klingons and takes out Koloths newly repaired shield.

Turn 7

Everyone moves into close quarters.

Koloth lands 3 hits on the Constellation and forces Decker to leave the battle. Kor takes out a shield on Styles. Styles catches Koloth for 2 damage and forces the B’Moth out of the fight. Kor is left alone to fight the Federation.

Turn 8

With only one hull left Enterprise barely misses an asteroid.

Styles takes out one shield on Kor.

Turn 9
Kirk recovers form Sacrifice. McCoy allows Scotty to repair a shield.

Kor fires on Kirk, Enterprise is damaged to the point that it must leave the battle. Styles destroys 2 shields on Kor.

Turn 10

The planet separates Kor and Styles.

Turn 11
Kor and Styles continue to circle the planet. Styles repairs another shield while Kor enables his torpedoes.

Turn 12

More circling.

Turn 13

Not quite there yet.

Turn 14

Kor and Styles finally have each other in their sights.

Kor only manages to destroy a shield on the Intrepid. Styles land 3 hits on Kor and saves the day for the Federation.

Koloth was injured during the battle and the B’moth is operating on reserve power. Krell’s ship has lost life support and Kang’s has lost its disruptors. Kor assumes command of the fleet and orders the Klingons to with draw back to Archanis.

Styles orders the Intrepid to pursue the Klingons, however Kirk calls him back. The Nautilus is dead in space and Constellation is operating on auxiliary power. Enterprise is in even worse shape with both propulsion and weapons off line. For now the Intrepid will have to come to the aid of its comrades instead of chasing Klingons.

Well that’s all for now, hope you enjoy.

Nice. Did you repaint some Enterprise refits? The size scale on refits are ten times better.

Theu are micro machines figures for the constitution class ships. O snagged a bunch off of eBay. Scale isn't a big deal for me but someone gave me 1 years ago and it looked so much better next to the Klingon ships it just snowballed from there. Plus they show up much better on camera for battle reports

Nice. I'm not a fan of "Tinyprise." Had to go on E-bay and snag a refit because the original Enterprise is so damn small. What does it say when the original 'prise is smaller the NX-01 Model? yeesh.

As an added note: I prefer the original colors over the "refit" colors. Federation ships are not silver colored.

The WK model os nice for OPs because it never gets tangled with other models which is nice during timed events. The Micro Machines looks better for casual play though.

Very cool.

I've snagged some of those Micro Machine models off eBay as well, the Constellation Class (Star Gazer, Hathaway) scale actually bothered me a lot more than the Tiny Prize did so it was nice to grab a replacement for each; well once I repainted it from the weird yellow it came in of course.

The funny thing was that I considered going on ebay to buy one. But then I remembered, I've had some in my drunk drawer since I was a kid. Score!
