We had a half a day of international women's day presentations and breakfast and lunch for anyone in the office who wanted to join.
Also, I went to Occupational Therapy. Man do I feel better after that!

I worked, but I did learn some neat things (like our office is 57% women - I think 8% chose other when asked gender if I am remembering correctly).

That made me think of the poem Mike Meyers does in So I Married An Axe Murderer.

We're a Media Metadata company. We have a database with all kinds of info on movies, tv, etc. I map that data to different online provider's programs.

With a strike.

I went to work, because otherwise I would have missed a meeting where I could give my voice to what I thought was important for us to fix in our department. However, I put an away message on my email saying that I was not checking email as part of "A day without woman." I also included a statistic on pay rates and one on rape in Massachusetts.

I also saw a lot of people wearing at work red (including me). My boss only worked until 11 and a couple of my co-workers took the day off. I helped train the new girl in our dept a bit.

Nice!! Well done.

I am not working right now but I did support some independent local stores in the neighborhood and played a few board games.

I don't work Wednesdays so did not have to consider whether or not to strike. I went to one of the demonstrations in this city - not a lot of people this year since it was pouring down. For the rest just a nice day, made orange jam, baked bread (avoiding to buy things), played a game or two, and spent some time flat out on the couch with an audiobook. Wore a red T-shirt (my wardrobe is not strong in red).
My partner managed to dress completely in red (except for a pink hat) and she and her colleagues did make it out of work for most of the demonstration.

Okay so I remembered the numbers wrong. Our office is 59% women. Company-wide is only 34% female, 58% male, and 8% not identified. We also have an office in Jordan that is 71% women.
