Greetings folks, today I will be featuring the Aggression card Stormchaser Oracle. This is definitely not one of our more straightforward use cards and I will give an explanation on how it works.

To begin it is a two Lesser, one Greater and one Exalted cost card, so for an Exalted card type it is relatively inexpensive to put it into play. Stormchaser Oracle also has a more bottom heavy cost, which means it easily has the potential to arrive on the battlefield by turn four. This card also has a fairly beefy body for it's cost; at four Fight and Four Life with one Armor it can stand toe to toe with more powerful Greater Aspect creatures and provides a fairly easy defender against Lesser Aspect creatures. In reality though, Stormchaser Oracle's stats pale in comparison to it's abilities.

Stormchaser Oracle has a very powerful, yet costly ability. At the start of your Draw phase: Before drawing cards, reveal the top card of your Life Stack. If it is a Scheme, you must Summon it for free; then Destroy it. If it is not a Scheme, Destroy it; you suffer 2 Damage.

Wow, what an ability! This is definitely a card to build a deck around, the biggest reason is ANY SCHEME from ANY FACTION is cast for free. This makes the card an easy include to decks that are built around combo affects or built to exploit this card's ability. Wouldn't it be nice to get a free Total War off the top? Or lock down your opponent's creatures with an Emperor's Decree? This ability can easily win games for you if you are fortunate enough to have it.

Even the down side can be a boon if you are sticking with an Aggression heavy deck. If you miss the effect and take damage, well, at least you get a free Savagery trigger out of it. This can allow you to play cards like Night Raid and get that Reveal effect off for free.

If you decide to trade this card instead it can be Manifested to allow non-Controlling players to Summon a Scheme for free. This ability can be devastating to your opponent in a 1v1 match as it allows you to play power Schemes for free if you have them in your hand. Be wary in a multiplayer match, your other foes also get to summon a Scheme for free so make sure understand the cost of that action if you chose to Manifest it.

So as you can see this card has a ton of promise to Deities who build for this card's strength. Be wary if you just toss it in, for this mistress of the storm is fickle and can harm you just as much as she can help you.

Thanks for reading, see you folks next week for more cards!
