I'm so sick of those threads. You know the ones I'm talking about.
No, not those threads, the other threads. The bad ones.

Bgg would be so much better without those threads, really there needs to be a way to get rid of them.

I've never tried it, but I believe if you do Subscribe -> Block on the thread, it won't show up in your subscriptions feed, effectively getting rid of it.

Nah, just being purposefully obtuse. I figure if I'm vague enough this will qualify as a rant against every kind of thread

The home page would certainly be a lot less "busy".

I like all kinds of threads. I can ignore them if I'm not interested. I'm just glad everyone has a chance to voice their opinion.

I'm fine with those threads, and anyone who dislikes them is a fool or a bigot or something.

But I cannot stand them threads, and demand action be taken. Specifically, whatever action I personally have decided will nullify the problem, regardless of other people's preferences.

You're talking about those meta-joke threads which are making fun of other meta-threads, which all start becoming meta-repetitive, right?

I wonder what reaction you will get?

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars, where you will be forced to drift aimlessly farther into the vast, empty abyss of space until a lack of food, water and oxygen causes you to succumb to Death's cold embrace.

Long threads about "things" are fine, I quite like them. It's when they go on and on about "stuff" that really pisses me off.

Actually I have experienced greater distress about those thread titles. You know, the ones that don't really say anything.

Fortunately, there is a way to fix them.

We should start making threads that promote the removal of threads complaining about other threads! Only then will BGG be restored to glory!

Meta complaints about meta complaints? I imagine that if it continues, BGG will collapse into some kind of inescapable singularity.

Am I the only one who thinks "imagine is this thread is the first one a newbie reads when reaching BGG for the first time"?

Wonder how many lurkers bounce and leave BGG to never return...
