Can a player only move his focus marker or can a player also send assets back through the time rift?
I'm guessing it's only the first option.

Thanks.

Temporal Tourism is a fully fledged time machine, functioning just like a power plant. You CAN send 1 warp tile back along with it.

Its a pretty awesome time machine too cause it lets you time travel as a free action, once per turn and effectively free to use. Not only does it mean that you don't have to tire a worker and save resources, but it means you have a lot of control over focus and action timing.

For example, you can only construct a super project from the past where you have focus, and normally you need to use one action to power a time machine to set the focus to the era. Then you can build the super project on your second action. But if you have temporal tourism, you can move the focus as a free action and build as your first action. While it seems like a minor boost, the extra speed and not using a worker to set focus can be pretty nice, especially to the Path of Progress where you may be pursuing a strategy that is focused on super projects and breakthroughs.

Of course, if temporal tourism weren't such an awesome ability, then temporal tourism itself would not have been a super project

Edit: The downsides are that its a super project so it is somewhat expensive or a pain to complete, and it occupies two building slots. Also, there are some time machines that earn VP when you use them, even though these time machines are not free to use. So you might prefer using a time machine that will earn you VP for each trip instead of temporal tourism.
