Turn one. Everyone has enough for 3 units.

Rome builds first and goes Dalmatia, Fortress, Caravan.
Egypt takes Jerusalem
Cathage builds in Garamantia
Persia goes for Troia, Fortress and a Legion in Troia.

you play Greece what would be your buy phase and your plan going into battle phase ?

would you go ahead and buy 3 legions, attack Dalmatia with 4 so as to have 0% chance of screwing up and turn dalmatia to your banner.

On turn two if Rome decides to go for 3 legions in Gallia you can hold so he wouldn't do that...
If he wants to counter, what can he do ? Build a trireme in hadriaticum and two legions ? He has four to attack Dalmatia or Macedonia. You can build a Fortress in Macedonia + one legion...

There is always the risk of a war that would make you both fall behind... so maybe let Rome have her ways and build some more economy... maybe a market in Macedonia turn one ?

Crete was left open, so build a Trireme, control, and a caravan on the pottery resource. That pottery will guarantee you an early choice in trading for the rest of the game.

Later on, you can build a fortress, legion, city and temple on Crete.

Let Rome have Dalmatia - you don't really want those resources.

Go for Sicily. Take a Legendary city if everyone is letting you have one.

That's interesting. I guess it means Rome can decently go for Dalmatia turn one and get away with it.

That's something I REALLY didn't think of. Kudos to you. It makes your investment into trireme not so costly too.

only if the other 2 has no trireme

with control+trireme+fortress, rome can simply choose to go before the defender, march in with 3 legions to take sicily, bonus points if rome can maintain military leadership for next round, free control!

btw it would also basically meant that greece cede troia to babylon if greece took sicily
