Ryan's just given us a sneak peak at some (non-final) explore tokens. I really like their shape, it makes them more eye catching than a plain rectangle or circle. As always, the art is amazing.

Ryan has a way of stuffing backstory and theme into every nook and cranny of his games! Every play of Empires of the Void II is gonna be unique and memorable!

I like how some of them give even more unique player abilities to shape your strategy: increasing hand size by one and getting a new pass action to get more goods! Both of those would be fun to have!

Yeah these are way more interesting than they had to be and could be valuable all game long! I love how these things you find, the events that occur and change the map, and the opportunities you stumble across in the mission and action cards will all come in different combinations no matter how many times you've played and make different approaches appealing that may not have been as much in a previous match.

These seem awesome... so how do they work exactly? Are they used in all games? They are face down until a player lands on a planet space with one? Would every planet space have one?

Seems like Ryan has been making this game better by the day, but it's hard to keep up with all of the awesomeness. A forum post that summarizes the current gameplay elements would be great. I would start it, but can't say I'm at all up to date. Seems like it could help with the campaign.

Like, what are attribute cards? We've unlocked them, but they don't appear in the rulebook on the campaign page. The team is good about responding to comments on the Kickstarter... but that is a LONG set of comments at this point. Mostly filled with debate about a board vs tiles.

They are face down on the small, uninhabited planets until a player lands in that space, at which time they are revealed. Every uninhabited planet has one. Each one works a bit differently. Some of them stay on the planet and modify something about the planet. Some of them will go on the player's player board and give them some sort of bonus.

The attribute cards will likely be called something else, but they're essentially a hidden goal that gives you a few extra victory points. For example, one card gives you a couple victory points if you have units in orbit around four different planets at the time of scoring.
