I disagree. I found the new Mechanics both new and interesting. It shows the designers are willing to try new things. I liked how the Pit Boss was both Aloof and a Hunter. It felt like he was following us around checking on us, very thematic.

I don't own the PODs, but of the 6 scenarios I have it is my second favorite.

Did you notice that the mobsters were only aloof for the first agenda? They turn aggro pretty quickly. Things are anything but dull.

It was my favorite scenario of any fantasy flight lovecraft game. It is so easy to create the setting and story.

You enter a seedy underground casino run by the mob. In the entryway you spot the doctor's coat at the coat check. The pit boss eyes with you suspicion as rats scurry along the floor boards. Noticing your curiosity the pit boss locks onto and follows the most snoopy of you. You head to the bar to try to get some clues on the Dr's whereabouts. Catching a scrap from a drunk you then head to the roulette table. As people win they get more talkative and give you further information that he was last seen in the card room. However, by now the pit boss has had enough of your questions. He calls the other mobsters who move to throw you out. Or six feet under. Whichever. As they scuffle a thing from beyond comes crashing into the casino, destroying the entrance and consuming everything it sees. You now frantically look for the doctor. But you struggle to keep it together as you realize the drink you had at the bar was drugged, at the demand of the pit boss no doubt. Having finally found out his fate you decide between heading to safety or saving the clubs owner who covers under a table.

How in the world is that dull?

Rex becomes a LOT more useful once you make your way into the back rooms.

I really liked it. Almost lost at some point, but we made it! Much better than the terrible Devourer Below. I hate that one, it's 90% based on luck.

Unknown , I agree with you until I play on easy, but this is applied to all scenarios.

I went with Pete to CloverClub and there was nothing that hold me for a minute in one place. Duke just take the scent at beginning and nothing happend till exit. But it was easy option, all test were succesful etc. One thing I missed is that I was granted only 4 exp.
