The 20 days Kickstarter campaign for Powerships started:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cwali/powerships-a-futu...

For 2-6 powership pilots who search for fast routes in a course through our solar system. It plays in 25 minutes while having surprising planning depth in controlling your speed and finding your best routes.

Here at Boardgamegeek people may already know Powerboats on internet ( http://mastermove.eu/allgames.php?gametypeid=6 ) from 2007, the boardgame Powerboats from 2008 and its expansion Powerboats Expansion 1 from 2009.
In Powerships the special expansion spaces are in the gameboard already. In the pictures you see that are not so many spaces but these special spaces play a great role in the races.

Another change is that damage lowers your maximum number of dice, while repairing is possible (no elimination).
The powerships move faster than speedboats. Not surprising. Higher speed often made choices the most interesting. With that experience I designed the solar system board tiles.

Re: POWERSHIPS (a future race through our solar system)
72% funding currently.

So it's too early to speak about stretchgoals ... well, if the fund goal gets reached, a few of the possible stretchgoals are, in order of likelyness:

--- 3 comets, 1, 2 and 3 spaces long. The comets move and are obstacles. They move 1 space in their (fixed) direction each time when respectively a '1', '2' or '3' gets rolled with one of the used dice. So their future places are "half predictable". They start at sides of the board (small marks in hexagons will show where to place them) and move towards the opposite side.

Photo: Planet hexagons are marked by green stickers. The powerships are boats from Powerboats.
In above prototype, the 3 comets (white arrows) accidentally gathered in front of the finish planet.
In each test race the comets did bring interesting situations, without being overly important. I don't see it as a must, but I like it a lot.

--- Double-sided gameboard tiles.

--- 7th player: powership plus dice.

Re: *POWERSHIPS* (a future race through our solar system) ((Last hours))

The new version of Powerboats reached its fund goal at Kickstarter, and gets 'comets' (obstacles which move over the board), a 4th buoy for a longer/different race and possibly a 7th player powership+dice which is the current stretch goal.

Last 6 crowdfund hours at:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cwali/powerships-a-futu...

It will be a small special printrun, same as with Factory Funner and Habitats, so it may be a last chance to get it!
