Simple question. I am creating a solo variant with developed Klingon / romulan homeworlds with 3 massive fleets each. They cannot move, only defend. Federation can explore as normal braving hazards, colonizing, etc. What would be a fair number to use for winning? In other words, how many rounds should the federation have to hegemony both enemy homeworlds to win? They lose if not done in a certain round limit. Looking forward to hearing round numbers. Thanks

the question is what the weapons & shield modifiers will be of the klingons/romulans.
will they change along the way or stay the same?
if they stay, then about 8 rounds might be a good limit, otherwise you should look more at 12 rounds.
of course may need to be tested and really depends how good exploration goes.

This is what I have so far. Comments from anyone? Suggestions? Additions?


SOLO Game (Federation) (15 Rounds)

EARTH (place in the center 6 inches from bottom)

KRONOS / ROMULUS (6 inches from bottom and 6 inches
across on each opposite end to form
a triangle)

ONLY 1 Space Lane may be connected to Kronos / Romulus

The ONLY way to win is to HEGEMONY* Kronos and Romulus
(No ASCENDANCY Victory)

If you FAIL HEGEMONY, any destroyed Structures are replaced*
(at the end of your turn)

Modifier WEAPONS SHIELDS (Start as Normal)
Klingon = +1 Weapon every 3 rounds, +1 Shield every 4 rounds
Romulan = +1 Weapon every 4 rounds, +1 Shield every 3 rounds

KRONOS / ROMULUS have 2 STARBASES Each (Extra Space Defense)

Klingon Fleets (Kronos)***
-Generic Fleet 1 (8)**

Romulan Fleets (Romulus)***
-Generic Fleet 2 (7)**

If you fail to destroy an enemy fleet, it is repaired to
full strength** (at the end of your turn)

Both enemy fleets have the "Battle Group" Bonus (may re-roll
1's in space battles)***

I think to do a solo game you would need to modify the victory conditions.

It should be accumulate X amount of culture or reach ascendancy 5 within X number of turns.

You could have them increase in weapon size and shields over time. Ergo, the longer you spend out and about building your forces, the stronger they become.
