Anyone use a house rule limiting 3-4-4 rebuilds or restricting them after a certain calendar date? Seems to me, given problems with equipment and supplies, that Tsarist army would be hard pressed to still field these better units as the War went on.

I have never played with a house rule limiting the 3-4-4.
I do not remember any of us ever feeling the need for such a rule. I am curious to hear what other players have to say.

never felt the need for a house rule like that and actually by the summer of 1916 the Russians were beginning to produce adequate weapons and ammunition, certainly nothing compared to what they produced in world war 2 but for world war 1 things had improved dramatically from spring 1915

If you play the Russian side and you like to lose easy, this can be a good suggestion.
